Commercial misting systems from Smart Mist USA can transform your patio, gazebo, deck, or outdoor bar/ restaurant into a comfortable gathering place during those unbearably hot summer days and nights. Other applications for a commercial misting system include industrial cooling for animals, outdoor sports or entertainment venues, landscape fogging and more. Many commercial and residential locations have invested valuable time and money in creating a beautiful and inviting space. Those same folks often find that this very space cannot be used during the season it was intended for due to extreme heat. Restaurants and bars see lost revenue when customers do not want to sit outside in the unbearable heat while residential customers miss out on precious outdoor family time. In addition, animals such as horses, cattle and pets who suffer during the high heat can greatly benefit from the cooling effect of a commercial mist system.
Our commercial misting kits feature an industrial, heavy-duty pump with a 3-year warranty. The pumps come in an impressive selection of sizes and types. Flow rates of these pumps can range from ½ GPM (Gallons Per Minute) to over 20 GPM. They also come in three basic types to suit any need. These include Direct Drive, Pully Drive and Variable Frequency Drive ( VFD ). A direct drive is the least expensive but still is a very robust pump. It is the loudest of all the commercial pumps so they should typically be used when the sound level is not of high concern. However, if they are put into a room or further away from the misting location, the noise level can be mitigated. A pulley Drive Pump uses a pully and belt to transfer the power from the motor to the pump. This results in the pump spinning at lower rpms and therefore much quieter. In addition, since the pump is turning slower, it translates into longer life. Installations with pulley drive pumps do not need to have as great of a concern about noise level as direct drive pumps. The top of the line and most advanced commercial pump is the VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). With this pump you can have various zones that can be turned on individually or all at once. The zones can be activated manually or electronically. The pump will sense the demand of the nozzle count and speed up or slow down accordingly. These pumps are incredibly versatile in addition to being extremely quiet. All pumps are rated for continuous usage which means they can run all day without any fear of overheating or breakdowns. A commercial 1000psi mist system would be a great choice for spaces requiring high usage and an industrial grade workhorse system..
Our commercial mist systems use prefabricated sections of stainless steel mist line. These mist lines come in various lengths up to 20’ and nozzle port spacing from 12” up to 48”. Also available is an impressive selection of powder coated colors to match any decor. For shipping purposes, 8’ is the most common. After 8, the tubes need to be shipped by freight and the shipping cost increases substantially.
Commercial misting systems will typically use 3/8” stainless steel tubing rather than the ¼” that is typical for our app-controlled kits. The means for joining the tubing with a commercial mist system is also different from the push lock fittings used in our app-controlled kits. Whereas push lock fittings use tubes with a groove machined into the end of the tube, the commercial mist line uses compression fittings. The tubes can be cut to exact lengths and joined with tee, straight, or elbow compression fittings. These compression fittings fasten the tubes together by tightening the nut on each end of the fitting. This compresses the inner ferrules and creates a watertight seal. This installation results in a permanent and reliable mist line that will last for decades.
