By now, you have most likely seen dozens of pictures or videos of various misting set ups on the internet. Many of these show the nozzles pointing outwards. Why outwards and not inwards where people are? The theory here is to create a "Mist curtain" to keep the hot air out and not get folks inside wet. Most restaurants will use this set up to make sure customers don't get wet. These systems typically have fixed nozzles who's direction cannot be changed.
With Smart Mist USA's nozzle couplers and stainless steel pipes, you can swivel the direction inwards or outwards. It is a great benefit to have the ability to swivel each nozzle individually. When the pump is not running, you can do this with our nozzles. Start with them pointing straight down and see how it works for your patio. You may find you actually like them pointing in slightly where you can feel the cool evaporation right next to you. There is no right or wrong way. Find what works best for your space. Tip: You can just use something like a stick to move the nozzles from the ground without having to get on a ladder ( be sure pump is turned off) .
Mount your nozzles on the bottom edge of the face of the beam with the nozzle hanging over the edge. This will allow the nozzle to swivel nearly 90 degrees in either direction. See the following video
